of all, it helps prevent germ transmission. It can be easily
installed in 5 minutes on both round and elongated toilets.
Eliminate
the risk of disease from touching contaminated toilet seats!

Why shouldn't
we touch toilet seats ?
The American
Medical Association reports that by touching a toilet seat just
one time, it takes at least 5 consecutive hand washings to get
rid of most of the germs and bacteria. It is very possible to
catch a cold or influenza from touching a toilet. Elderly
persons, immunocompromised people, chemotherapy patients,
pregnant women, young children, and people with diabetes are
particularly susceptible to toilet germs and bacteria. As many
as 25 percent of people leave the bathroom with fecal coliform
(usually E. Coli) on their hand.
Both toilet seats
(top side and underside) and toilet paper dispensers are
breeding grounds for coliform bacteria. (A quote from Toyla
Tab Web Page and Featured Article from The Greatest
Janitorial Service, Inc. "Microorganisms in Public
Washrooms: The data on public washrooms contamination shows how
often and how easily specific high-contact washroom surfaces can
be contaminated" by Dr. Charles Gerba, Professor of
Microbiology at the University of Arizona)
"The
bathroom door handles were loaded with Staph aureus,
which can cause many infections, from acne to pneumonia. We
found Clostridium perfringens on the toilet seat,
which is one of the worst pathogens. It can cause gas
gangrene and lead to toxemia and even to
death" --Dr. Pisani Ph.D., a microbiologist at Micrim Labs
(Ladies' Home Journal, "How Clean Is It?" Sept. 1999)
